Support for teen girls navigating big emotions

One-on-one wellbeing support to help girls talk through what they’re feeling, manage overwhelm, and build confidence in themselves.

School, friendships, pressure, emotions... it can feel like a lot sometimes.

Joyful offers calm, practical support to help girls talk things through, manage worries, and feel more confident.

Many girls today are navigating:

  • Big emotions that feel hard to manage

  • Friendship challenges and social pressure

  • Anxiety, stress, meeting expectations and self-doubt

  • Feeling like they’re “too much” , “not enough” or just misunderstood

Sometimes all we need is to talk to someone and share our thoughts and feelings.

If things have been feeling a bit overwhelming lately, you don’t need to struggle alone.

This is a space where you can just be yourself. No judgement. No pressure. Just support.

A calm, supportive environment where girls can:

  • Talk openly at their pace

  • Feel heard and understood

  • Learn simple ways to manage and express emotions

  • Gain an understanding of why they may feel the way they feel

  • Build confidence and start to feel more like themselves

I support girls with:

  • Understanding feelings and learning healthy ways to cope and self-regulate

  • Building confidence in relationships, setting boundaries, and handling conflict

  • Developing tools to calm the mind, reduce worry, and feel more in control

  • Strengthening identity, self-belief, and a positive inner voice

  • Learning how to express thoughts and feelings clearly, safely, and respectfully

I’m Nichole, a local mum and the founder of Joyful.

I created Joyful because I see firsthand the emotional and social pressures young girls are facing today. As a parent, I understand how important it is for girls to feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard during these years.

My approach is warm, relatable, and practical. I focus on building trust first, and then helping girls develop tools they can actually use in everyday life.

With a background in supporting and working with people, I bring years of real-life experience, empathy, and understanding into every session.

My work is also deeply personal, shaped by my own life experiences and my journey as a mum.

Based locally on the North Shore, Auckland, supporting girls and families in our community.

  • "We’ve seen such a positive change in our child since working with Nix. She has an incredibly calm, level-headed approach that immediately puts both children and parents at ease. Nix techniques are practical, thoughtful, and genuinely connect with kids in a way that makes them feel understood and supported. The difference she’s made to our child’s confidence and wellbeing has been huge, and we’re so immensely grateful for Nix’s guidance."
